Community Reject Andy Uba; Campaign DG in Land Grabbing Mess

From AFAM AMINU CHIMEZIE

Sir. Paul Chukwuma, Director-General, Andy Ubah Campaign Organization has been allegedly involved in a community land scandal.
Those accusing him of taking over their 3,000 plots of land are members of Umuokpala and  Umuonuka Kindred,Ekpe- Nneyi,Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State. He was  further accused  of  using his position  to realize his penchant for grabbing village land without consulting the real owners.

The indigenes have also indicated interest in  voting any other Candidate  apart from Sen .Any Ubah because of the unresolved land dispute  between the aforementioned family and Sen.Ubah’s Campaign DG who incidentally is from the area.

Spokesman of the affected family , Chief Ezennaya Nweke said since after the alleged forceful take-over of their land the people have been living in fear as Sir Chukwuma had deployed thugs to the land harassing, intimidating and maiming the original owners who dared to enter the said land.

The spokesman further alleged that the politician took over the said large expanse of land claiming that he was going to use the land for the establishment of a university known as “Capital University” as a ploy to convert the property for personal use.

Chief Nweke lamented that despite all the call by various parties to settle the land owners,Sir Chukwuma had remained adamant.

Chief Nweke, an APC Chieftain in Anambra East Local Government Area alleged that the over 3,000 plots of village land which he said was illegally acquired by the said Chukwuma had prompted the original owners of the land and a large population of APC members in the area to defect from APC to other political parties, adding that if the said land was not returned to the real owners it might be a sad story for the party in the area.

He described Sen.Ubah as a good man who unfortunately was surrounded by self-seeking politicians capable of dragging his name to the mud by their nefarious actions.

Sir Chukwuma was yet to respond to text messages and phone calls put across to him a week before the time of filing this report.
