TOWAN Leadership Raises Alarm over Fugitives’ Infiltration into Tricycle Union

The Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria, TOWAN) Anambra State Chapter, under the leadership of Chief Obiorah Sylvester, has raised fresh alarm, alerting security agents of the alleged infiltration into their union by those described as fugitives that have organized themselves to cause anarchy in Anambra state under the guise of a new tricycle union.

247thirdeye.com learned that the mandate given to the 10-man executive purportedly inaugurated by the accused lawless set of people hiding under the cover of the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), is for them to position themselves to cause mayhem in Anambra State under the name; ‘United Commercial Keke and Motorcycle Riders Association of Nigeria (UCKEMORAN).

The state and the federal government recognized TOWAN, however, appeals to the law enforcement agents to beam their searchlight on the movement cum activities of the said 10-man executive of the accused lawless group and their cohorts.

Wondering how those who are on the security watch list over series of crimes and criminality, having allegedly being tormenting road users within Onitsha, Awka, and other cities in Anambra State would turn overnight to claim that they are coming to fight armed robbery and their self-proclaimed multiple levies in tricycle union, the TOWAN leadership said all the operators of the common man means of livelihood have since disassociated themselves from (UCKEMORAN) allegedly organized by one Arinze Igbanuka.

Suing for synergy between his office and that of the security agencies in the state, aimed at placing Arinze Igbanuka and his cohorts where they belong, Chief Obiorah Sylvester was of the view that the state government should not allow the likes of Igbanuka and his group to come together as a union, noting that their mission was formulated only to thwart, destabilize the security and peace of the state.

“The purported (UCKEMORAN) is a nickname of the lawless wing of the outlawed MASSOB, headed by one Arinze Igbanuka who was recently sacked by the leadership of MASSOB and in his thinking of a way to remain relevant, he has organized his co-lawless youths at Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area with the notion to infiltrate into our union as the only means for them to make money for the sponsoring of his evil thought.

“Firmly, one of their mission is to penetrate the security network in the state as one of their strategies in monitoring the security plan(s), using the purported United Commercial Keke and Motorcycle Riders Association of Nigeria (UCKEMORAN) hence we alert the concerned authorities of the evil mission of the group.

Efforts made by this reporter to reach any member of the inaugurated group nor Arinze Igbanuka for their reactions as at the time of filing this report failed as we couldn’t establish a link with any of the accused trouble makers.
