Senatorial Position:  Ebonyi Central on Oath to Enthrone Laz Ogbee

Senatorial Position:  Ebonyi Central on Oath to Enthrone Laz Ogbee

FROM OUR POLITICAL DESK (ABAKALIKI)

A pre-election opinion poll conducted by our correspondents shows that thousands of eligible voters in Ebonyi Central Senatorial District have resolved to unite in support of Hon. Lazarus Ogbee, in the forthcoming election in appreciation of his contributions to the development of the tree and the less-privileged through the various political positions he held in the past.

It will be recalled that, Hon. Lazarus Ogbee, who hails from the Ezza South Council Area of the State started his political career as a Councilor, later local government chairman and Commissioner in the state. before the clamor by his constituents for him to represent them at the lower chamber of the  National Assembly.

Expressing the mind of the people of the area while exchanging views with our correspondents at an event held at Ikwo, one of the constituents, Mr.Maduabuhi Nwabcho said the best thing that would happen to the zone is to have Hon. Lazarus Ogbee to represent them at the National Assembly.

He described Hon Ogbee as a grassroots politician adding that his contribution to the well-being of the people in the area was second to none in the history of Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone.

Mr. Nwanchor advised the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the Ebonyi Central Senatorial District seat for the forthcoming election who is the immediate past chairman of Ezza South Council Area, Engr. Kenneth Eze to drop his ambition and join the people of the zone to support Hon. Laz Ogbee for the seat.

On the Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone politics, Mr. Maduabuchii Nwanchor was of the view that Hon. Lazarus Ogbee with his political experience and connections will attract needed democracy dividends and meaningful development to the Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone.

“The mistake we will make (God forbid) is for us in the zone to elect an amateur like the APC senatorial candidate, Engr. Ken Eze for the position. By the records before us, Ken Eze was unable to arrest the multiple killings and insecurity in Ezza South when he was the Local Government Chairman. There was no meaningful development of the council during his era hence he should subordinate his interest to the greater interest of the people of the area by supporting the aspiration of Hon Ogbee for the Senatorial position.
