Only Prayer Can Restore Nigeria Insecurity, Other Challenges …Catholic Preacher

A speaker at a one-day prayer summit, organized by Ameke Catholic Community, Ezza South Council Area of Ebonyi State Onitsha, Anambra State branch, Bro. Ezekiel Alegu has lent his voice to the disturbing insecurity situation, hardship, and other social vices ravaging Nigeria as a nation, noting that Nigerians can only overcome the menace through prayers.

Speaking at the event, Bro. Alegu traced what he described as a worrisome situation of the nation to the urgent quests to make quick and satanic money by some of our youths therefore, engaging themselves in kidnapping, killings, armed robbery, amongst other criminality. 

According to him; “when a Nation faces such challenges, the only option to remedy is to beckon on God through His only Son, (Jesus Christ) for salvaging such challenges. I hereby, urge Christians all over the country to come together, pray, and beckon onto God to forgive us our sins, and heal our land, especially as we are faced with the transition into a new administration”. He said.

Charging parents to give their children proper home training,  bringing them closer to the way of the Lord, and also monitor the kind of friends they keep, the Catholic preacher added that his suggestion would go a long way in reducing the evils planted in some of our youths by the enemies of man.

In his contribution, the chairman of the Ameka Catholic Community Onitsha branch, Hon Emmanuel Nweke who was joyful over the huge turnout in this year’s prayer summit, thanked the organizers and urged the participants to make use of what they learned from the prayer summit.

In his vote of thanks, a former Chairman of the organization, Bro John Obaji thanked the guest speaker whom he said God has been using to lift the Ameka community high even as he prayed to God to reward him in abundance.

The highlights of the event, which attracted a multitude of Catholic faithful from Ebonyi state residing in Anambra state were prayers, teachings, deliverance, questions, and answers from the participants amongst others.
