 Market Leader Promises  Positive   Business Turn Around as Ochiogu Retains Seat

Chairman, Building Materials International Market, Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of  Anambra State, Chief Jude Nwankwo has vowed to rapidly transform the market for more business boom.

Chief Nwankwo made the declaration during the election of officers to man the affairs of Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA), at the weekend in Onitsha.

In an interview at the occasion, Chief Jude Nwankwo (Ochendo) who was recently re-elected for a second term of office, disclosed that his second term of office would witness a positive business turn around for traders in the Building Materials Market.

Chief Nwankwo who was conferred with the title “Ezeudo” of Ogidi Building Materials International Market for his role in restoring peace to the former troubled market, noted that the present government in Anambra State was traders’ friendly and commended the Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, and Wealth Creation, Chief Uchenna Okafor for his wisdom in handling market affairs in the State.

Earlier in the election, Chairman, Ogbaru Main Market, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu who was re-elected Zonal Chairman of  Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA), Ogbaru Section through a voice vote conducted alongside other market leaders said that his administration would improve the condition of trading and other businesses in Ogbaru.

The election of all the officers who were unopposed in their various offices witnessed the presence of other market leaders across the state.

 While commending the traders for finding him worthy to be re-elected the second term, Chief Ochiogu said he would improve on whatever achievements recorded so far as Zonal Chairman of Ogbaru ASMATA.

He commended other officers of the state market leadership for carrying the affairs of Markets with dignity.

Speaking after the election which enthroned Chief Ikechukwu Ekwegbalu as ASMITA President – General, the Anambra State Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Wealth Creation, Chief Uchenna Okafor said he had come to witness the ASMITA election as provided by the constitution and called on the market leaders to work towards developing their various markets and well as generating revenue for the government.
