Intelligence Sharing Mechanism: NSCDC Boss Seeks DSS Cooperation.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and the Department of State Services, DSS, have pledged collaboration in intelligence sharing for the enhancement of security and safety of lives and property in Anambra State.
This was made known when the new Anambra State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Edwin Osuala paid a courtesy visit to the office of DSS in the State yesterday (15/06/ 2023).
Comdt. Osuala, who was received by the State Director of, the Department of State Services, Mr. Enoch Pawa, said the primary purpose of his visit was to explore and solidify the existing relationship between the two agencies.
In his words, ‘I am here to introduce myself as the new State Commandant of NSCDC in the state and solicit for your continued partnership, especially in the area of intelligence sharing. We need each other to succeed in our various areas of mandate because no organization can fight crime and criminality alone; this visit will avail me the needed interaction, synergy, and cooperation to perform optimally” he echoed.
Responding, the State Director, DSS, Mr. Enoch Pawa after welcoming the state Commandant to the state, applauded the cordial relationship between the DSS and NSCDC in terms of training, Intelligence sharing, and enforcement support.
He commended the officers and men of the Corps for being a good partner in tackling insecurity and implored them to sustain the tempo as a grassroots security agency.
Mr. Pawa reiterated his commitment to work closely with the NSCDC state boss in Intelligence sharing with utmost dispatch in addition to any other necessary support in line with the state Government’s quest to make Anambra a liveable and secure state.
The visit had in attendance the top management staff of both agencies.
