Enugu LG Poll: Itodo Appreciates Gov, PDP Stakeholders for 2nd Term Ticket *Promises “a More Fruitful” Second Term

Following his emergence as the candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for his reelection bid into the Chairmanship seat of Igboeze North, the incumbent Executive Chairman of Igboeze North Local Government Area, Hon Ejike Itodo has expressed appreciation to the Enugu State Governor Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and also to the stakeholders of the PDP in Igboeze North for standing by his second term bid ahead of the forthcoming Local Government election in the State.

Speaking to our correspondent on his victory at the just concluded primary election, Hon Itodo said he is firstly thanking the people’s Governor of Enugu State Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his fatherly support to his first term administration which led to his good performance noting that he couldn’t have done well and impressed the good people of Igboeze North to support him for second tenure if the Governor wasn’t standing behind him.

He added “since I came on board as the Chairman of Igboeze North, the people’s Governor of Enugu State is solidly behind me and is always at my beck and call never minding his busy schedule. In facts the Governor came closer to Igboeze North under my administration and the dividends of the Governor’s closer relationship with Igboeze North are there for everybody”

He said that the Governor through closer relationship has changed the face of Igboeze North with road construction, urban renewal of Ogrute, the local government headquarters which has moved Ogrute from a town to mini city, project delivery in education, health and water, immediate response to security needs and mostly importantly facilitating the era of outstanding peace in Igboeze North by uniting the people like a family like never before in history.

The Chairman, a civil engineer and the Prince of Aji kingdom, described Governor Ugwuanyi’s performance in Igboeze North as “remarkably great” adding that his yeoman performance prompted the good people of Igboeze North which included the political class, traditional rulers, the clergy, the business class and the people in Diaspora from countries in Europe, United States, Canada and South Africa among others to pay him a thank you visit at the government house in Enugu during the Yuletide.

While also thanking the stakeholders of the PDP in Igboeze North for lending weight behind his second term bid, he promised that his second missionary journey to the Chairmanship seat at the Council headquarters in Ogrute will be more fruitful with more delivery of dividends of democracy. The Aji Prince therefore called on the people to as usual vote for PDP during the Chairmanship and councillorship election.
