gubernatorial hopeful, Comrade Tony Usulor has beaten the deadline for the collection of the Expression of Interest/ Nomination Form for the 2023 gubernatorial election
He picked the form, a few days before the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission to contest the primary election under the platform of the National Rescue Movement, NRM thus proved soothsayers who thought he would not be able to make it wrong.

It will be recalled that Comrade Usulor, who is the founder of the Youth O’Clock Movement is one of the new breed politicians that indicated interest to run against any wish of the incumbent governor of Ebonyi State about four years ago and had decided not to identify with any political party till yesterday.

On why he pitched his tent with National Rescue Movement, NRM, against other political parties who had approached him to contest under their platform, Comrade Usulor who hails from Ebonyi North Senatorial District after picking his Expression of Interest/Nomination Form at the National Secretariat of NRM said the party shares the same ideology with his vision for Ebonyi state, noting that he has used the period of silence to consult the state stakeholders and other sons and daughters of the Salt State.

Comrade Usulor, who spoke to newsmen shortly after collecting his expression of interest form thanked all members of his Youth O” Clock Movement for identifying with him during the period he was consulting on his ambition.
The astute politician told his group that now was the time for them to canvass support for the National Rescue Movement, NRM committed the party to making a difference in the State for everyone.

“I owe God all the glory for having given me the grace and I also thank all members of the Youth O’Clock movement for remaining resolute in our effort to rescue our dear Ebonyi State from the hands of the politicians who are not youth-friendly, as the time to put it right is now.

“For the contest of who succeeds the outgoing governor, we are not only ready but well equipped to contest power with other aspirants, and at the end of the day, God willing. we are going to come out tops.” Comrade Tony Usulor submitted.

He described the National Rescue Mission, NRM as a youth-oriented political party and urged his supporters and Youth O” Clock members in the state not to sell their votes or mortgage their future with peanuts, come the next election but should support the leadership of the NRM by working assiduously for the victory of the party in all elective positions come next election.
