Cataloguing what neccessited the DPO’s award, the President General of the community, Mr. Ekene Nwali, “Onwa” as fondly calls by his admires, admonished the DPO for being duty conscious, zero tolerance to corruption as well as operating an open door policy, urging him never to relent

“We are your brothers from the same Amalekwuna. As you know, this is delegation, drawn from all the branches and we are here to honour whom it is due. It is true that we never notified you of our coming, having known that it was not necessary hence it was just to inform you that we are proud of you as our brother, son and our ambassador.

“We are also here to plead with you as a trained security guru, to be one of our patrons, expected to be rendering security advices to our local security outfit in the community at anytime we beckon on you as one of the security chiefs, as we all know, security remains collective responsibility of everybody and we are glad to have you as our own.” The community leader admonished.

Amalekwuna community used the occasion to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command for anchoring trust on their son, CSP Ugochukwu Ugbo as the first policeman in Okpoko police division, assuring that Amalekwuna sons and daughters in Anambra State will continue to assist the police with useful information at their disposal at all times.

Reacting, the soft-speaking but duty conscious DPO, thanked his brothers for coming to honour him, assuring that he will ever live to be an ambassador to the community, using the occasion to appeal to Ndi-Ebonyi residing in Anambra State to always shun anything capable of bringing shame and image dent to Amalekwuna and Ebonyi State by extension.

The highlight of the event was presentation of plack, flex that bears the DPO’s picture and group photograph.
