Ebonyi 2023: Group Adopts PDP Guber Candidate

A subgroup of Coalition of NGOs, CSOs, and SGs for Good Governance, under the aegis of Ebonyi State Commodity Traders Union, yesterday, unanimously, adopted the Governorship Candidate of People’s Democratic Party in Ebonyi State, Chief (Dr) Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, as their sole candidate for the 2023 Governorship Election.

The leader of the group, Comrade Eze Marshall stated that the adoption of Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii as the sole candidate of the group was premised on the fact that Chief Odii has the political will to tackle the numerous challenges facing Traders in Ebonyi State.

In a statement made available to 247thirdeye.com by Charles A. Nweze, Director, Media & Publicity of the group added that they found Odii most qualified in handling the affairs of the state noting that they are ready to standby the PDP flag bearer for the overall interest of the state.

The PDP Governorship Flag-bearer in Ebonyi State, who was represented by his Running Mate, Senator Paulinus Igwe Nwagu, who received the traders in his office, expressed his gratitude for the courtesy visit and assured them that the government under Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, would provide a conducive economic environment for businesses, SMEs to thrive in the State, come 2023.

“It is worthy of note, that the 2023 Governorship Election will be contested by only two persons, vis-a-vis Chief(Dr) Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii and others”. The group stated.
