 CONPAN Boss Salute Nigerians on Democracy Day, Sues for Peace

The National President, Community Newspaper Publishers Association of Nigeria, CONPAN, High Chief Monday Where, JP has heralded Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s democracy day, exhorting every citizen to commemorate as one indivisible brother and sisters.

Suing for peace and tranquillity among Nigerians at this period of insecurity facing the nation as a serious challenge, High Chief Where who spoke via press statement duly signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Nweke Nweke (who is the Admin of this platform) was of the view that no one achieves peace in the midst of rancor, urging all citizens to eschew hatred, bitterness but should embrace love, oneness, and togetherness as a way of moving the nation forward. 

Commenting on the intention of the federal government to amend the 1999 Constitution, the nation’s most remote areas based news tabloid boss, lauded the nation’s parliaments for striving to address the long yearnings of the masses, believing that the development will certainly put to an end any act of marginalization of any ethnic nationality in Nigeria. 

Calling the service chiefs to come up with more civilian-security- cordial relationship while tackling the insecurity that has bedeviled the entity called Nigeria in recent time, Chief Where who is also the publisher of Port Harcourt based Surveillance Newspaper, said one of the directions to achieve everlasting peace in the country is for the federal government to entrust more responsibilities that have to do with the youths management to the traditional rulers and make the local government system more functional as this, he said remains the colsest reach to the youths in the most remote areas.

He however advised all the aggrieved person(s) to work towards engaging the federal government in a round table conference for peace talks as war he said, reimburses no one any good.
