Members of Umuokpala and  Umuonuka Kindred,Ekpe- Nneyi,Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State have expressed sadness over the alleged land grabbing of over 3,000 plots of land belonging to the aforementioned family by an indigene of the area, Sir.Paul Chukwuma.

Sir Chukwuma who is the Campaign DG,Andy Ubah Campaign Organization for the forthcoming Gubernatorial Election in Anambra State was said to have  boasted to use his position and influence as a former APC National Auditor and towering connection in the nation’s seat of power to realize his penchant grabbing of village land without consulting the real owners.

Expressing the misfortune that has befallen his kinsmen since after the alleged forceful take-over of their land,a spokesman for Umuokpala and Umuonuka Kindred, Ekpe-Nneyi, Umueri, Chief Ezennaya Nweke lamented that Sir Chukwuma was presently using his position and closeness to people in authority, especially as Campaign Director-General for Sen. Andy Ubah to oppress his kinsmen.

The Spokesman further alleged that the said Sir.Chukwuma took over the said large expanse of land claiming that he was going to use the land for the establishment of a university known as “Capital University” which he claimed was not registered with Corporate Affairs Commission ( CAC)  nor licenced by National Universities Commission (NUC).

Chief Nweke also accused the APC Campaign DG  of threatening opposition voices with hired thugs who were deployed to the said land preventing people from gaining access to their farmlands.

Chief Nweke who is an APC Chieftain in Anambra East Local Government Area stated that the over 3,000 plots of village land which was illegally acquired by the said Chukwuma had prompted the original owners of the land  and a large population of APC members in the area today begin mass defection from APC to other political parties , adding that if the said  land was not returned to the real owners it might cost Andy Ubah chances of emerging victorious in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Election in Anambra State.

He described Sen.Ubah as a good man who unfortunately  was surrounded by self-seeking politicians capable of dragging his name to the mud by their nefarious actions.

All attempts made by our correspondent to hear the own side of Sir Chukwuma’s story proved abortive as he declined to respond to text messages and phone calls put across to him at the time of filing this report
