 Come, Reclaim Your Abaddoned Vehicles; Police Urges Public

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng has advised members of the public whose vehicle(s) are parked in any police station across the state to come with a valid proof of ownership and proper means of identification to reclaim their vehicle (s).


Recall that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali few days ago ordered for the immediate evacuation of all recovered/ impounded, accidented and unregistered exhibit vehicles from Police Stations nationwide.


In a press release from the office of the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Anambra State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochi, the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng, today (11/3/2022) urged the general public especially Ndi Anambra to come to Anambra State Police Command headquarters to claim their recovered and accidented vehicles. 


According to the State Police boss; “the order is predicated on the incessant embarrassing and unprofessional manner in which these vehicles are stacked within police facilities causing nuisance and disgusting sight at Police Stations.


“It is also part of efforts being put in place by the IGP’s administration to ensure conducive working environment for its personnel in order to set in motion such required strategies to combat crime and criminality in the country.


The CP however advised all concerned members of the public to come for the recovery and claims of their vehicles, with valid proof of ownership and proper means of identification.
