 ANAMBRA: Police Nets Notorious Cult, Armed Robbery Suspect

The Anambra Police Command, acting on credible information last Wednesday 29/05/2024) said they intercepted and apprehended one Amalu Onyedika ‘M’ aged 32 years old who resides in Nkwelle, Oyi Council Area of Anambra State but hails from Eziagu in Enugu State over his alleged involvement in cult and armed robbery related offenses.

Onyedika who claimed to be a technician, dealing in Aluminum and Glass windows business in the popular Building Materials Market Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), SP Tochi Ikenga, the suspect confessed of being a member of the junior Vikings secret cult. 

Having allegedly confessed that he joined the notorious gang at the age of 22 and has been mentioned as one of those terrorizing  Nkwelle and its environs, offensive weapons, one locally made pistol and four live ammunition were allegedly recovered from him.

The Commissioner of Police, *CP Nnaghe Obono Itam through the Police Command Spokesman, SP Tochi Ikenga has since directed that the investigation be widened and deepened to bring to book other gang members, and the case should be charged to court after the investigation.
