Anambra CP on Manhunt for Accused Reckless Truck Driver

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Echeng Echeng has ordered an immediate manhunt for a fleeing Howo truck driver with Registration Nos: AWK 899 ZQ, who is now on the run for allegedly being reckless on the steering, having caused a fatal accident along the Enugu/Onitsha Expressway by defunct Nitel Office Onitsha, Anambra State.  

According to the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) DSP Ikenga Tochukwu in a press statement, said the police operatives attached to Central Police Station (CPS) Onitsha on receiving distress calls, responded promptly, arrived at the scene of the incident and rescued six accident victims of the fatal motor accident that occurred at about 18.00 hours yesterday  (3/5/2023) the Enugu / Onitsha Expressway defunct Nitel Office Onitsha. 

Thirdeye247.com gathered from the PPRO’s press statement that the police operatives also provided financial support for the treatment of the surviving victims as five of the victims, he said are responding to medical treatment as at the time of hitting the press.

One of the victims, Tochukeu said was unfortunately confirmed dead by the medical expert on duty while his men also recovered three vehicles involved in the accident which are; one Howo truck with Registration Nos: AWK 899 ZQ, One Diahatsu Shuttle bus with Registration Nos: AKL 978, and one Mitsubishi L300 bus with Registration Nos SKA 439 XA.
