A Nigerian Tops ABLA Cybersecurity Entrepreneurs, 2022 Award List  


The African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) has named Peter Ejiofor, one of the nation’s leading cybersecurity entrepreneurs, and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ethnos IT Solutions, in its 2022 list of awardees. Mr. Ejiofor, who is one of only six Nigerians, on the list of 12 awardees, is recognized with the African Leadership Excellence Award for his track record of business leadership and value creation in the information security space in Nigeria and beyond.


The other Nigerians are Dr. Ifie Sekibo, Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Bank who is a joint winner of the African Business Integrity Leader Award alongside Mastercard Africa; Peter Ashade, Group Chief Executive Officer of United Capital Plc, Nigeria, for African CEO of the Year Award; Akindele Akintoye, Chairman, Platform Capital, Nigeria for African Business Leader of the Year Award;

Emmanuel Nwogbo, Group Managing Director, Alfa Centauri, Nigeria for African Inspiration Leadership Impact Award; as well as Kashifu Abdullahi, Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for Special African Leadership Commendation Award.


The ABLA 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award went to Sam Matekane, Group Chairman, Matekane Group of Companies, Lesotho for his significant contributions to shaping, growing, and developing the economic landscape on the African continent.


The African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), a flagship program of the African Leadership Magazine London, recognizes exceptional corporate practices and outstanding achievements in the African business landscape, as well as contributions to the continent’s inclusive socio-economic growth and development.

The 12th edition of the Awards presentation ceremony was held on July 4, 2022, at the House of Lords, London on the sidelines of the Africa Summit London with the theme, ’’Rethinking African Trade & Partnership Possibilities.’’
