February Election: Mrs. Odii Sues for Ebonyi Women’s Conscience; Says Husband’s Emergence of God, Not of Man

FROM OUR POLITICAL DESK (ABAKALIKI)

Mrs.Deborah Ebere Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, wife of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) Gubernatorial Candidate in Ebonyi State has appealed for the conscience of the entire Ebonyi women in the forthcoming governorship election, revealing that her husband’s emergence in the party’s primary election was of God and not of man.

Mrs. Odii dropped the hint during the Ebonyi State PDP women’s town hall meeting held in the residence of Senator (Dr.) Sam Ominiyi Egwu in Ohakwu Council Area of the state on Tuesday even as the soft-spoken possible next first mother of the state assured that whatever promise(s) her husband makes in the course of his electioneering campaign must be redeemed if given the mandate by the Ebonyi people.

“I am appealing for the

the conscience of every Ebonyi woman who feels bad over controversies that are surrendering the emergence of my husband as the flag bearer of PDP. To us, we must acknowledge that it was of God and not of man. Please, kindly left the grievance(s) cum anger aside and support my husband to win the election. Let Ndi Ebonyi see the emergence of my husband as the will of God. I am not saying that the will of God cannot be established in another person’s life but God knows how He chooses people.

“Indeed, God knows how He wants to tell this story. If someone had told me that we will still be in the context till now, I would say, what are we looking for? I want every Ebonyi woman to support PDP more than ever for together, we are going to take our state from the ruling party, back to PDP.” She started.

Calling on the entire Ebonyi State women to drop the hatred aspect of women and adopt the Agape love on the anticipated next governor, Mrs. Odii spotted anti-party syndrome as a factor that kills politicians even as she calls for all hands to be on deck for PDP’s total victory in all the elective positions come February, this year.

Earlier in her welcome address, the state’s former first mother, Mrs. (Dr.) Eunice Ukamaka Egwu said the essence of the town hall meeting was to remind the women of the state, particularly the PDP of the importance of the party to recover her lost glory.

“The essence of the meeting was to prepare all of us for the task ahead, having known that women are the major instruments, ingredients, as well as ones ever serious about elections and having considered the role each of us plays in every election, its become paramount that we have to come to together for this town hall meeting where all of us  are sitting and finding a lasting solution to the ill-governance of our dear state and our nation by extension.” She concluded.

Dignitaries at the town hall meeting include the wife of the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Mrs. Igwe Nwagu, PDP State Women leader, Zonal women leaders, State Woman leader, Local Governments women leaders, Wards Women leaders, Hon. Mrs.  Jenifer Okafor, wife of the National Vice Chairman of PDP, South East, Hon. Mrs. O. Ali Odefe amongst others.
