 Accord Presidential Aspirant Mourns Yoruba Monarch

Accord Presidential Aspirant, Dr. Solomon Uchenna Wining has commiserated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Governor, Seyi Makinde, the immediate family of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111, and the good people of Oyo State over the demise of the top Yoruba monarch who died in the late hours of Friday, according to palace officials.

In a condolence message from the Accord Presidential Aspirant Media Directorate, Dr. Solomon Uchenna Wining described the deceased monarch as one of the traditional rulers who used his position to address some of the pressing issues confronting Nigeria as a nation.

Oba Adeyemi who was 83 years, died at Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, and was the father of Prince ‘Tunde Adeyemi, and other progressive children.

In a condolence message to the family, Dr. Wining through his media aide, expressed his grief over the monarch’s death, describing him as a father of the oppressed and a nation-builder who used his position and exuded love for God and humanity.

Urging the bereaved family, the good people of Oyo state to be comforted in knowing that Oba Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, lived a good life and is now resting in a better place, the Presidential hopeful further prayed for the Lord to grant monarch’s family the fortitude to bear the loss and for a peaceful repose of his soul.
