Reports reaching our news desk from the Salt state has it that some governorship aspirants have started approaching Accord, aimed at securing nomination form to contest the governorship seat.
Speaking after they rose in their first of the year meeting yesterday in Abakaliki, the state capital, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Ani Ndubuiisi Paschal said they are now better positioned to contend power with both the state ruling APC, the major opposition party, the PDP as well as other political parties in the state, come 2023.
Charging the state exco of Accord to brace up and do the needful in their respective positions, Hon. Ani said they are now ready for the business of taking over the governorship position of the state, come 2023. He however warned that any member of his executive found wanting in his office shall be removed immediately.
“I am glad that aspirants are now identifying with Accord. This shows that we have gone a long way in selling our party to the electorate in Ebonyi State and we have to work hand-in-glove in making sure that we justify the aspirations of those coming to secure their leadership mandate in our party’s platform”. He said.
While welcoming new members who dropped in their large number, registered, and picked their membership cards in Accord, the state women leader of the party in Ebonyi state, Mrs. Okorie Justina called on all women in the state to come up and identify with Accord, describing the party as the only party that is going to give women, youths, and children their representation in the governance of the state.
