We’ll Honour Valentine Ozigbo with Our Votes-in-Block –Labour Party

Having vowed to work hand-in-hand with the trade unions and their civil society allies, the traders, the artisans, the youth movements, women and the people with disabilities (PWDs) in his soon to come government, the entire members of Labour Party, LP in Anambra State have unanimously resolved to work for the victory of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Mr.  Valentine Ozigbo come Saturday ‘s governorship election.

This was the outcome of the party’s press briefing held at Grand East Hotel, Awka yesterday, anchored by the State Youth Leader of the party, Comrade Chigozie Henry Okeke,  noting that since the PDP candidate has respected all the group that made up Labour Party, the entire members of the State Executive Council of Labour Party in Anambra state, thereby informed the PVC carried members in the state to come out in en massss and vote for Valentine Ozigbo.

 “That since none of the Anambra State gubernatorial candidates has approached us for support, except Mr. Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), we have unanimously resolved to work for him and ensure that he moves into the Government House, Awka by winning this forthcoming election landslide. 

“He has promised to work hand-in- hand with the Trade Unions and their Civil Society allies, the Traders, the Artisans, the Youth Movements, women and the People with Disabilities (PWDs) in his soon to come Government. Since he has respected us, we also wish to honour him with our votes-in-block.

“That we express our loyalty and unflinching support to the National Leadership of the Party led by Comrade Maria Lebeke and Comrade Joseph Ndirang, Ag. National Chairman and Ag. National Secretary respectively, under the supervision of the NLC/TUC Labour Political Commission in Abuja.

That anybody who transacts any political business in the name of Labour Party, with anyone other than the above mentioned National Officers recognized by the NLC, does so at his/her own risk.

The State Executive Council of Labour Party further called on the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC), who are the rightful owners of the Party, to hasten the conduct of the expansive and inclusive National Convention as ordered by the Federal High Court, to usher in democratically elected Leadership for our great Party. They seized the opportunity to call on Ndi-Anambra to all come out to exercise their franchise by voting their adopted candidate, Mr. (Comrade) Valentine Ozigbo come Saturday’s election.
