Andy Ubah Vows to Establish #5B Worth Muslim Mosque Worship Centre Anambra If…

By KRIS EMMANUEL (AWKA)
The controversial candidate of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) for the Anambra governorship election, Sen. Andy Emmanuel Ubah has authoritatively indicated that he would initiate the establishment of a central worship center for the Muslims in the state ( Anambra) three months after he was sworn in as governor.

Ubah who held a meeting with some APC ward chairmen at his Uga hometown a few days ago(11th of September, 2021) said he is going to commence the construction of the mosque with a total of 5billion Naira and that it would be completed within one year.

The statement has so far been viewed as misdirection and one that lacks vision and mission, if not, how would a responsible Igbo man be thinking of spending such an amount of money in building a church for Fulani herdsmen especially given the state of Nigeria’s economy and insecurity associated with the spread of Islamic fundamentalist.

However, some political analysts have described the statement credited to the APC candidate as unfortunate that instead of thinking of how to support youth-oriented programs that will benefit the teaming unemployed youths, Sen. Andy Ubah has his cardinal objectives to build a central mosque for Ndi-Hausa, using Anambra’s tax payer’s hard-earned money.

“No wonder many think that Sen. Andy Ubah is not contesting to serve Ndi-Anambra but to please his godfathers of Northern cabals.

“The people of Anambra were still trying to recover from the shock remarks emanating from the recent declaration by Andy Ubah that he is going to sign the open grazing law once elected, and while holding a meeting in his country home, he came up with another most useless policy that is targeted on creating religious war in Anambra.

“With all these developments, it is now a choice for the electorates to decide whom to vote for, but let it be on record that all his stay at the red chambers, that Andy Ubah has not built or donated facilities to both the Catholics non the Anglicans or Pentecostals, yet he has the effrontery to express interest in building a central mosque in Anambra for Ndi-Hausa”; a notch indigene of the state under the condition of anonymous stated.
